Forty-six nations are set to converge on New York Harbor to celebrate America’s 250th birthday in a historic maritime event. This unprecedented display will showcase international diplomacy and civic pride, taking place from July 3-7, 2026.

On July 4, the highlight unfolds with an International Parade of Sail featuring 48 tall ships representing 20 countries, sailing past 50 U.S. and allied naval vessels under the iconic Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and alongside the Statue of Liberty. The event includes the International Naval Review 250, marking only the seventh of its kind in U.S. history, with over 100 aircraft led by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels flying overhead.

An estimated 15,000 sailors and service members will join the festivities, with six million spectators expected to line the New York and New Jersey shorelines. Thousands of boats will witness the spectacle from the water.

Chris O'Brien, President of Sail4th 250, emphasizes that this gathering of nations signifies a reaffirmation of America's founding ideals and the enduring importance of international friendship and cooperation at sea. This celebration promises to be a monumental tribute to maritime heritage and national unity.
