The inaugural Antigua Racing Cup kicks off on April 9, drawing crews from over 15 countries to Nelson's Dockyard. This new regatta promises four days of thrilling racing in Antigua's renowned sailing waters.
Expect ideal conditions with easterly trade winds of 10 to 15 knots and gusts up to 20 knots, coupled with warm temperatures around 82°F (28°C). The event celebrates not just competition but also showcases Antigua’s rich maritime heritage.
During the opening ceremony, Sean Cenac, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, emphasized the regatta's role in fostering community engagement and economic benefits.
