Athena Racing celebrates 12 years of the British America's Cup team, GB1. Despite 175 years of efforts, Britain still seeks its first victory in this historic competition. The mission remains clear: win sports’ oldest international trophy. Currently, GB1, along with Women’s and Youth America’s Cup squads, trains in Cagliari for the Preliminary America's Cup regatta in May. The 150-member team from Portsmouth collaborates with top British technology firms, fostering skills and careers for future generations. Appreciation goes to Ineos for its support during the last two campaigns, which led to GB1 becoming the most successful British Challenger in 60 years, set to compete in Barcelona 2024. Ineos is aware that assets owned by Athena Racing are utilized for AC38 preparations.
