Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) hasn't stepped into the ring since his July 2023 loss to Terence Crawford, where he was knocked down three times and stopped in a bout for the undisputed welterweight title. Speculation surrounded his return, but in February, ESPN revealed plans for a summer comeback against Tszyu at 154 pounds. Initially set for early June, the fight has now been rescheduled for late July.
Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs), a former IBF junior middleweight champion, has faced a tough couple of years, suffering losses to Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev after a promising start. However, he bounced back with consecutive wins over Anthony Velazquez and Denis Nurja, setting the stage for this significant clash on his home continent.
