Floyd Mayweather faces serious legal trouble, with two felony charges for passing a bad check to buy a $200,000 watch in Las Vegas. This situation raises questions about the future of the boxing icon amid his ongoing financial issues.

Mayweather is charged with "theft, value $100,000 or greater" and "draw or pass check with intent to defraud, value $1,200 or greater," according to court records. The allegations stem from a check written on December 31, 2024, from his Wells Fargo account to Gold and Beyond, a luxury resale shop. Prosecutors claim he lacked sufficient funds to cover the transaction, suggesting he knowingly attempted to defraud the business.

If convicted, Mayweather could face one to four years in prison for the fraud charge, alongside potential fines and restitution. The theft charge carries even harsher penalties, up to 20 years in prison and $15,000 in fines.

This legal battle adds to Mayweather's mounting troubles, including a $7.2 million tax lien from the IRS and multiple civil suits alleging he owes money. Despite these issues, Mayweather is set to fight kickboxer Mike Zabmidis in an exhibition match on June 27 in Athens, Greece, as he prepares to leave for the event later this week.
