Shadasia Green remains in intensive care after suffering a brain bleed from her knockout loss to Lani Daniels. This shocking turn of events raises serious health concerns for the former unified women's super middleweight champion.
Green faced Daniels in the co-main event of MVPW-02 at Madison Square Garden, where she was stopped in the ninth round. The referee halted the fight after Daniels unleashed a series of unanswered right hands. Following the bout, Green was swiftly taken to a local hospital on a stretcher.
Mike Leonard, head of boxing at Most Valuable Promotions, confirmed that Green was "awake and talkative" shortly after the fight. However, Green later shared a concerning update on social media, revealing she is still in ICU and has been diagnosed with a brain bleed.
In her Instagram post, Green expressed gratitude to those who showed concern, acknowledging the severity of her condition: "I passed out due to bleeding out of my brain. However, I am in ICU on the road to healing." She assures fans she is determined to return stronger, stating, "I'll be back to get what's mine 100% covered.
