Lloyd Stevenson Boats unveils the Catalyst 50 Django Shade, a cutting-edge chase boat designed for speed and support. This innovative vessel impresses with a remarkable top speed of 52 knots during early sea trials.
The 50’ Django Shade is tailored for Giovanni Lombardi Stronati's 'Django' race team, fresh off their victory at the Maxi Grand Prix World Championship. Its unique features include reverse-rake forward windscreens that blend commercial aesthetics with the comfort and luxury expected from Catalyst. The custom foil package boosts seakeeping abilities and enhances its range for extended journeys.
In a remarkable follow-up, East Auckland builders announce the start of their 77th custom project, the Catalyst 50 V2. This model is poised to serve as a luxury superyacht tender, showcasing advanced construction techniques with vacuum-infused bulkheads now complete.
The V2 evolves from the Morrelli & Melvin hull, originally crafted for America’s Cup chase boats. The new design incorporates a plumb stem, deeper forward hull sections, and increased waterline length, all while improving accommodation and styling. Yet, it maintains the performance and ride quality that define the Catalyst brand.
Stay tuned for more updates on these groundbreaking vessels!
