Chelsea and West Ham face severe penalties following a mass brawl during their Premier League match on January 31. The English Football Association (FA) imposes a fine of £325,000 (€373,000) on Chelsea and £300,000 (€344,000) on West Ham. Nearly 20 players are involved in the incident that took place at the end of the London derby won by the Blues (3-2). Adama Traoré, West Ham's winger, throws Marc Cucurella to the ground and confronts Joao Pedro, triggering the melee. Jean-Clair Todibo, from West Ham, receives a straight red card after a VAR review for grabbing Pedro by the throat. The FA specifies that Chelsea and West Ham failed to ensure appropriate behavior from their players in the final minutes of the match.
