Stay tuned to discover how this dramatic turn of events reshapes the competition landscape for the rest of the season.
The Tour de Bloom concluded in Wenatchee, Washington, with Arlandson from Aegis x Leaders of Enchantment and Nathan Martin from SpeedBlock p/b Terun taking the overall titles. The women's race saw intense competition between Aegis x LOE and Virginia's Blue Ridge-TWENTY28. Last year's champion, Lauren Stephens, chose to train instead of race, allowing her team to shine.
Emily Gilbert and Anna Hicks kicked off the event with a one-two finish in the uphill time trial. Mejías initially took the lead, but Arlandson's relentless pursuit resulted in a 13-second advantage after the second stage. Stage 5 saw Emily Ehrlich dominate the time trial, but Arlandson's resilience paid off in the final stage.
In the end, Arlandson's performance not only secured her victory but also showcased the fierce rivalry brewing between the teams, promising an exciting season ahead.
