Jayco-AlUla reveals a formidable squad for the Giro d'Italia, with Ben O'Connor spearheading their General Classification ambitions. This 30-year-old cyclist aims to surpass his fourth-place finish from the previous year, positioning himself among top contenders like Jonas Vingegaard, Egan Bernal, and Adam Yates. The race kicks off in Bulgaria on May 8 and wraps up in Rome on May 31.

O'Connor expresses his excitement, stating, "This year will be my fifth Giro d'Italia, and I always return with great pleasure." He highlights the balanced route, emphasizing key stages in the Alps and the crucial Blockhaus challenge. With a noteworthy history in the Giro, including a stage win in 2020, he looks to secure his first victory of 2026 after a solid performance at the Australian National Championships.

Supporting O'Connor in the mountains are Dutch climber Koen Bouwman and cross-country mountain bike world champion Alan Hatherly, making his race debut. Pascal Ackermann is the go-to rider for sprints, while experienced all-rounder Andrea Vendrame competes in his eighth Giro. Rounding out the team are road captain Chris Juul-Jensen, Felix Engelhardt, and debutant Robert Donaldson. Jayco-AlUla aims for success at every stage.
