Célia Gery of FDJ United-Suez secures her second victory in just 48 hours, dominating the Grand Prix Féminin de Chambéry after her stunning triumph at Brabantse Pijl. This back-to-back success highlights her remarkable form and potential for the season ahead.

Gery’s win in Chambéry showcases her tactical prowess and explosive speed. The race, consisting of 10 laps featuring three challenging climbs, saw FDJ setting a relentless pace from the beginning, reducing the peloton to around 30 riders early on. Despite a series of attacks, including a brief 25-second lead by teammate Marie Le Net, the group was continuously whittled down.

As the race progressed into the final 25 kilometers, Gery seized the opportunity to launch her attack, joining a select group of about 10 riders. With her powerful sprint, she crossed the finish line eight seconds ahead of Erica Magnaldi from UAE Team ADQ, with Lore De Schepper of AG Insurance-Soudal taking third.

This victory not only solidifies Gery's place as a rising star in women’s cycling but also raises questions about her strategy for upcoming races, particularly as she bypasses the Amstel Gold Race. The numbers from this weekend could redefine her season trajectory.
