Evan Boyle, a promising 21-year-old cyclist and former USPro Nationals medallist, faces a 16-month ban for multiple Whereabouts Failures. This sanction, announced by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), serves as a critical reminder of the stringent anti-doping regulations in cycling.
Boyle, known for his silver medal finishes at the USPro National Championships and the U23 time trial in 2023, has been sidelined due to three missed location reports within a single year. The failures occurred on July 16, August 16, and October 2, 2025, while he was registered in the USADA Testing Pool, which mandates athletes to provide whereabouts information for out-of-competition testing.
The ruling highlights how serious violations can lead to significant penalties. USADA determined that a 16-month period of ineligibility was suitable based on Boyle's circumstances, starting from December 8, 2025. He is now disqualified from all competitions and loses any medals, points, and prizes earned after October 2, 2025.
