Filippo Ganna dominates the Tirreno-Adriatico stage 1 time trial, winning by 22 seconds over teammate Thymen Arensman and 26 seconds ahead of Max Walscheid (Lidl-Trek). Ganna, a three-time winner of the opening time trial in Tirreno, posts an impressive average speed of 56.225 km/h, breaking the course record on the 11.5km route in Lido di Camaiore. He races to a significant lead, clocking in three seconds faster than teammate Magnus Sheffield at the mid-stage split. Former Tirreno winner Primož Roglič (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) finishes seventh, nine seconds behind, while Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain Victorious) and Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) complete the top ten. Ganna captures his second victory of the season and dons the first leader’s jersey. "I’m very happy," says Ganna, focusing on his upcoming goals in the Classics.
