Gaia Realini climbs the iconic Blockhaus over 30 times a year, not just for training but for pure enjoyment. The Lidl-Trek pro views this 20-kilometer ascent as a personal sanctuary. "If I'm not back by such-and-such a time, come look for me in the Blockhaus," she tells her family. At 2,000 meters, the climb offers stunning views and a deep emotional connection for the 24-year-old from Pescara. "I get the feeling that I'm at home there," she says. Realini embraces the challenge, stating, "I love climbing," and surprisingly never feels bad on this ascent. For her, the Blockhaus is more than a training ground—it's a place to relax and recharge.
