Jonas Vingegaard voices strong criticism after Stage 1 of Paris-Nice. The Visma-Lease a Bike leader slams the race's roads, stating, "I don't think it was worthy of a WorldTour race. Bad roads, constantly right and left, potholes." He specifically targets the final descent from Côte de Chanteloup-les-Vignes, calling it "stressful." Vingegaard finishes 54th, in the same time as the main bunch, and trails stage winner Luke Lamperti (EF Education-EasyPost) by 10 seconds in the general classification. Despite a delayed season start due to a training accident and illness, he expresses concern over the chaotic first stage. "I hope not all my race days will be like this this year. Then it won't be fun," he adds. ASO has yet to respond to his comments.
