Le Court-Pienaar recalls the chaos, stating, “Everyone came and fell in front of us. I knew the race was over. My first thought was to check if she's OK because she didn't look good.” The crash also involves multiple other riders, including two from Visma-Lease a Bike and British road champion Millie Couzens (Fenix-Premier Tech). The race’s intense final moments result in significant injuries.
