Mads Pedersen is focused on the Flemish Classics as he recovers from a severe crash in the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana. The former World Champion broke his wrist and collarbone in February and is now training in Mallorca. His chances of competing in Milan-San Remo are slim, with Lidl-Trek confirming he is not on the roster for the event. This setback comes as Pedersen aims to bounce back, having finished in the top 10 of Milan-San Remo since his debut in 2022, including a fourth-place finish. The cobbled Classics are within his sights, building on his success with a third win at Gent-Wevelgem last year and podium finishes in the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. Lidl-Trek sports director Kim Andersen emphasizes Pedersen's determination, stating he is working hard to return as soon as possible.
