Marlen Reusser (Movistar) clinches victory at the women's Dwars door Vlaanderen in a thrilling photo finish. She surges ahead to outpace Demi Vollering (FDJ United-Suez) and Lieke Nooijen (Visma-Lease a Bike) after a dramatic final sprint.
Reusser initiates her move with 24 kilometers remaining, just after the Huisepontweg cobbles. Vollering quickly responds, bridging the gap as they approach the Nokereberg, 22 kilometers from the finish. The pair works together to fend off a chase group of 21 riders, with UAE Team ADQ doing much of the heavy lifting, but ultimately losing momentum.
As they tackle the last climb, the gap narrows to just eight seconds. However, Reusser and Vollering regain their lead as the chase group falters. In the final moments, Reusser cleverly forces Vollering to lead out the sprint. Nooijen seizes the opportunity, launching her attack from behind.
In a dramatic finale, Reusser and Vollering manage to edge past Nooijen in the last 50 meters, with Reusser narrowly winning. Post-race, Reusser expresses her surprise and joy, crediting her strong team for their support throughout the race.
