Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM) claims his third victory at Itzulia Basque Country, solidifying his lead after a fierce battle with Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) on stage 5. This stage, known as the Queen stage, featured eight categorized climbs, where the duo broke away on the Trabakua climb with 30 kilometers to go. Despite a strong chase from other contenders, they maintained their lead, with Seixas outpacing Lipowitz in a thrilling sprint for the win. Javier Romo (Movistar) finished third after recovering from a crash earlier in the race. With this victory, Seixas extends his overall lead to 2:30 ahead of Lipowitz, who surpasses teammate Primož Roglič to rise to second place. The final stage promises more excitement as Seixas looks to defend his title.
