Tadej Pogačar dominates the Tour de Romandie, winning stage 4 in commanding fashion. This victory solidifies his lead in the overall standings and showcases his unparalleled climbing ability.
Pogačar, donning the yellow jersey, executed a series of powerful accelerations on the Jaunpass, a key moment in this ‘queen stage.’ With just over 3 kilometers to the summit, he shattered the general classification group, leaving the competition behind. He finally dropped Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) with just over a kilometer to go, before flying downhill to the finish in Charmey.
Lipowitz finished second, crossing the line 14 seconds after Pogačar, marking a strong performance that distances him from other podium contenders. The battle for third saw a chase group of 15 riders, with Pablo Castrillo (Movistar) breaking away in the final kilometers to secure the spot ahead of Lorenzo Fortunato (XDS-Astana).
Pogačar's solo victory not only highlights his dominance but also sets up an exciting final stretch of the Tour de Romandie. Expect more thrilling action as the competition heats up in the upcoming stages.
