Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) claims victory at Milan-San Remo, triumphing in a thrilling sprint against Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5). This marks Pogačar's first win at the iconic race after six attempts. Despite crashing 32 kilometers from the finish, Pogačar and Pidcock emerged as the strongest riders in the 298km contest, dropping two-time champion Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) on the Poggio climb. Pidcock stays close during the descent, but Pogačar unleashes a powerful sprint to secure the win by a narrow margin. Wout van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike) rounds out the podium, finishing four seconds behind. Pogačar acknowledges the challenge, saying, "I knew Tom is a super fast guy... it was very close." This victory adds another prestigious title to Pogačar's impressive palmarès.
