Tadej Pogačar hints he may never target Milan-San Remo again after finally claiming victory in his sixth attempt. The Slovenian cyclist cites concerns over the hazardous traffic on the Italian coast road as a major factor. Pogačar triumphed on Via Roma, overcoming a late crash and launching a fierce chase. He outpaced Tom Pidcock and Mathieu van der Poel on the Cipressa and secured the win in a sprint finish.
Post-race, Pogačar jokingly stated he'll return to San Remo only for focaccia. He admits this win is among the biggest in his career but expresses a real fear of the coastal roads, promising partner Urška Žigart he’ll avoid them for a while. With the Ligurian coastline’s limited routes, Pogačar faces tough training decisions ahead.
