Tom Pidcock (Pinarello-Q36.5) exits the Volta a Catalunya after suffering injuries from a serious crash on stage 5. He described the incident as perilous, saying, “Today I lost a life for sure." Medical evaluations reveal likely bone and ligament damage to his right knee and wrist. Chief Medical Team Doctor Lorenz Emmert confirms Pidcock's withdrawal from the race, highlighting the need for further clinical assessment in the coming days.
