Day 2 of Brisbane Race Week presented by Porsche Centre Brisbane sees Danseur take the lead in the Monohull Cruising division, showcasing the shifting dynamics of the competition. This update reveals how the regatta's intensity ramps up and why consistency is key for success.
With nearly 50 boats racing across various courses, crews face new challenges as they adapt from 'hot lap' to longer passage-style racing. Tool Time, helmed by Stephen O'Brien, maintains its top position in the Monohull Performance division, while KERB, led by John Whitbread, closely trails in second. In the Monohull Cruising division, Danseur has surged ahead, overtaking French Kiss and Blackadder, emphasizing the need for steady performances.
In the Multihull division, Dog House, captained by Bruce Hume, stands alone as the only catamaran and leader of its class. The addition of Finn and VX One classes enhances the competition's depth, with Mack One, helmed by Ben Franklin, leading the VX One fleet. The Finn races feature tight competition, with Annie, Jazel, and Lonya all tied on points.
Off the water, the Legends on the Lawn event fosters camaraderie among crews, contributing to the regatta's growing success. Racing continues today on Moreton Bay, with more excitement ahead.
