Seven Formula 1 teams hit the track at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit for the first pre-season tests. Alpine, Audi, Cadillac, Haas, Mercedes, Racing Bulls, and Red Bull are putting their 2026 cars through their paces, all in line with the new technical regulations. Three days of testing are scheduled for this week, followed by two official sessions in Bahrain from February 11 to 20, ahead of the Australian Grand Prix on March 8. McLaren and Ferrari join the action on Tuesday, while Aston Martin only runs on Thursday. Williams opts out of this session due to delays with the FW48. Isack Hadjar (Red Bull) sets the fastest time, ahead of George Russell (Mercedes) by five-tenths and Franco Colapinto (Alpine) by two seconds. Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) and Esteban Ocon (Haas) round out the top five. The lap times should be taken with a grain of salt, as reliability is the priority this week.
