Formula 1’s future venue, Qiddiya Speed Park, emerges in Saudi Arabia, transforming from vision to reality. Located just outside Riyadh, construction is in full swing, with heavy machinery buzzing across the desert landscape. Early glimpses showcase a project that pushes the boundaries of racing.
At the forefront is “The Blade,” a signature corner designed by former F1 driver Alexander Wurz. This striking feature reaches the height of a 20-storey building, setting a new standard for racing circuits. The layout boasts 21 corners and an impressive 108 meters of elevation change, creating a thrilling experience.
Qiddiya Speed Park is part of the larger Qiddiya City project, blending sport and entertainment in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The circuit will host Formula 1 amidst theme parks and record-breaking rollercoasters, with a stadium planned for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
The concept captivates drivers, including reigning world champion Lando Norris, who praises the ambitious vision. Completion is slated for 2027, with a debut race in 2028, succeeding the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Qiddiya Speed Park is not just a bold idea; it is poised to redefine the Formula 1 spectacle.
