Hankook announces important updates for WRC tires, with the introduction of two new models for 2027. Fans will discover how these innovations can revolutionize the competition.

During the current season, Hankook anticipates improvements to the gravel tire, which has already faced criticism from drivers. The company will unveil two winter tires: the SR20A for asphalt and the SR11, studded for ice. The former features wider grooves for better snow and mud evacuation and a compound designed for low temperatures. The SR11, on the other hand, focuses on a new profile and structure for greater stability and handling.

Feedback from the teams is positive, and tests have been conducted with the current Rally1 cars, which will be replaced with the arrival of new regulations in 2027. Even though the new tires are on the way, Hankook will continue developing the current asphalt and gravel tires, with a particular focus on durability and grip in challenging conditions.

The debut of the new tires is expected in 2027, but significant changes are anticipated even before then, such as at the Acropolis Rally in Greece, where a new hard compound could be introduced.
