Jon Gruden eyes a pivot to NASCAR as he struggles to find another coaching gig. The Super Bowl-winning coach jokes about the move while chatting with FOX Sports' Michael Waltrip ahead of the Daytona 500. "I can't get a job coaching, so I'm studying NASCAR now," Gruden quips. He blends his football smarts with racing advice, telling Bubba Wallace, "Go trips right, make a left and then if you can't find it, call an audible." Gruden, who resigned from the Raiders amid controversy in 2021, has not interviewed for an NFL role since. He has dabbled in coaching as a non-full-time advisor for the New Orleans Saints and led the Hula Bowl in January. Gruden also makes appearances on FS1's "Wake Up Barstool." As he mingles with NFL legends at Daytona, the possibilities for Gruden in NASCAR remain intriguing.
