The draw for the round of 16 of the Champions League takes place this Friday at noon in Nyon. PSG, the last remaining French representative, is eagerly awaiting its future opponent after getting past the playoffs against Monaco (3-2, 2-2). Six English clubs are in the mix: Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Newcastle. Spain boasts three giants: FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atlético de Madrid. Germany fields Bayern Munich and Leverkusen. Other teams like Atalanta Bergamo, Sporting CP, Galatasaray, and Bodö/Glimt complete the lineup. Paris, currently 11th in the standings, could face the 5th or 6th placed teams, which are Barça or Chelsea. This draw will also determine the quarter-finals and semi-finals. The seeded teams, such as Arsenal and Bayern, will have the advantage of playing the second leg at home.
