The FIM confirms a scoring error in the Moto2 race at the Thai Grand Prix. Following the chaotic event, where the race was red-flagged twice, full points were incorrectly awarded to Manu Gonzalez. The 22-lap race was halted on lap four after a crash involving Senna Agius, David Alonso, and Filip Salac. It restarted for 11 laps but faced another stoppage on the opening lap. Ultimately, Gonzalez won after a seven-lap restart. However, the FIM states that only half points should have been given, as the race did not reach two-thirds of the scheduled distance. A review revealed that the lap completed during the second restart was wrongly counted. Updated standings will reflect this correction, and measures will be taken to prevent future errors. Current Moto2 standings: 1. Gonzalez 12.5, 2. Guevara 10, 3. Holgado 8, 4. Ortola 6.5, 5. Veijer 5.5.
