Alex Sarr's season is effectively over as the Wizards' forward battles a toe injury. This development could significantly impact Washington's performance in the final stretch of the season.
Coach Brian Keefe confirms Sarr is unlikely to return due to capsulitis in his left big toe, sidelining him for the last three games. The 7-foot rookie, selected second overall in the 2024 NBA draft, has already missed six games and averaged 16.3 points and 7.4 rebounds in 48 appearances.
The Wizards, currently at the bottom of the NBA with a 17-62 record, face Miami and Cleveland next. Sarr is among ten players listed out, including All-Stars Trae Young and Anthony Davis, who have struggled to stay healthy since joining the team.
