Stephen Curry is sidelined for another 10 days due to ongoing right knee issues, the Golden State Warriors announce. This setback extends his absence to at least five more games, following 15 consecutive games missed due to patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly referred to as "runner's knee."
Curry has begun court work, indicating progress in his recovery. However, he describes the situation as "unpredictable" after experiencing setbacks since the injury first occurred during a workout in Minneapolis on January 24. Initially aiming for a return post-All-Star break, Curry has adjusted his timeline due to insufficient recovery.
The Warriors struggle without him, losing three straight games, including losses to the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz. They now sit at 32-33, falling to ninth in the Western Conference. Curry will miss upcoming games against the Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics, and Detroit Pistons.
