Scotty Pippen Jr. and Santi Aldama of the Memphis Grizzlies undergo season-ending surgeries. Pippen addresses a right big toe issue, while Aldama gets treatment for discomfort in his right knee. Both procedures are successful, setting them up for next season. The Grizzlies struggle, currently holding a 23-44 record and mired in an eight-game losing streak. They sit nine games behind the final play-in spot in the Western Conference. Star player Ja Morant has only appeared in 20 games this season, sidelined for the last 25 due to a left elbow injury. Pippen, who missed much of the season after a similar procedure in October, averaged 11.4 points in 10 appearances. Aldama contributes 14 points and 6.7 rebounds per game this season. The team faces challenges as they look to regroup for the future.
