Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen is out at least two weeks due to a hip injury. An MRI reveals symptomatic hip impingement, inflammation, and a bone bruise. Markkanen also twisted his right ankle in practice, but those tests are clear. This injury adds to the Jazz's woes, following season-ending injuries to forwards Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee) and Jusuf Nurkic (nose), along with guard Vince Williams Jr. (knee). Utah also misses guard Keyonte George, sidelined with a right ankle sprain during Thursday's 129-118 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Jazz now sit at 18-41, the third-worst record in the Western Conference. Markkanen, a nine-year veteran, leads the team with an impressive 26.7 points per game, adding 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
