Kawhi Leonard is day-to-day after suffering a left ankle sprain. The Clippers star missed Monday's 119-115 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs. He sustained the injury late in Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings, limping off after a mishap while defending DeMar DeRozan. Leonard ended that game with 31 points, marking his 45th straight game with 20 or more points, a franchise record. This season, he averages a career-high 28.3 points over 53 games. Leonard can afford to miss two more games to qualify for end-of-season awards, as he needs to reach 65 games played. Clippers coach Tyronn Lue expresses hope that Leonard's absence won't extend beyond a few days. John Collins steps in as a starter in Leonard's absence. The Clippers embark on a three-game road trip, including back-to-back games against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday and Thursday.
