Ja Morant's season is officially over. The Memphis Grizzlies guard is sidelined due to a left elbow ulnar collateral ligament sprain. The team announced the news Tuesday night. Morant, a two-time NBA All-Star, has only played 20 games this season. The Grizzlies previously explored trade options for him before the February deadline but encountered minimal interest. Morant injured his elbow on January 21, shortly after returning from a two-week absence due to calf soreness. Following a recent consultation for ongoing elbow discomfort, he will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection aimed at enhancing ligament healing. He’s projected to return for the start of the 2026-27 season. Over the last three seasons, Morant has participated in just 79 games due to multiple suspensions and injuries. He has two years and $87 million left on his contract.
