Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks is arrested for DUI in Scottsdale, Arizona. Police pull him over around 1 a.m. Friday, leading to his arrest after an investigation. Brooks is booked and released around 3:30 a.m. The Suns release a statement saying they are aware of the situation and are gathering more information, with no further comments at this time.
Brooks, 30, has been sidelined for the last five games due to a fractured left hand sustained on February 21 against the Orlando Magic. He is expected back near the end of the regular season. Currently, he averages 20.9 points per game this season, a jump of 6.9 points from last year, along with 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and one steal. He joined the Suns in the trade that sent 15-time All-Star Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.
