Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana Pacers star, celebrates his birthday for two days! Born on February 29, the leap year baby received birthday tributes from the NBA and his fiancée, Jade Jones, on Saturday, February 28. Haliburton confirms he celebrates on March 1 in non-leap years. Currently sidelined for the season due to a torn Achilles, he’s among only four NBA players born on a leap year, alongside John Chaney, Chucky Brown, and Vonteego Cummings. Pacers' mascot Boomer once honored him with a giant card reading: "Happy 6th birthday Tyrese." Haliburton says he enjoys the two-day celebration, stating, “I get two days to celebrate.” He missed playing on February 29 during his college career at Iowa State in 2020 due to a fractured wrist. Haliburton looks forward to his next leap year birthday in 2028 when he turns 7.
