Victor Wembanyama is a finalist for the NBA's Most Valuable Player award, joining reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and three-time winner Nikola Jokic. This trio is set to shape the narrative of the season's top honors.

Gilgeous-Alexander leads the pack with an impressive 31.1 points and 6.6 assists per game on 55% shooting. Wembanyama, the rookie sensation, averages 25 points and 11.5 rebounds in just 29.2 minutes, showcasing his impact on both ends of the floor. Jokic, a dominant force, posts 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 10.7 assists, making history as the first player to lead the league in both assists and rebounds.

In addition to the MVP race, Gilgeous-Alexander is also a finalist for Clutch Player of the Year, alongside Minnesota's Anthony Edwards and Denver's Jamal Murray. Notably, Edwards qualifies despite not meeting the 65-game minimum. Meanwhile, Wembanyama is favored to win Defensive Player of the Year, competing against Chet Holmgren and Ausar Thompson.

Jalen Duren, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Deni Avdija are among the finalists for Most Improved Player, while Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and VJ Edgecombe vie for Rookie of the Year. The award winners will be revealed starting this week.
