Atlanta Falcons plan to franchise tag tight end Kyle Pitts, keeping him off the free agency market. NFL Media reports the Falcons aim for a long-term deal with the 25-year-old. If tagged, Pitts could sign a one-year deal worth nearly $15 million, fully guaranteed. There's also the option to trade him if negotiations falter.

Pitts enjoyed a bounce-back season in 2025, recording career-highs with 88 receptions, five touchdowns, and 928 receiving yards. He ranks 19th in FOX Sports' top 100 NFL free agents for this offseason, the highest among tight ends, ahead of Isaiah Likely, David Njoku, Travis Kelce, and Dallas Goedert.

Drafted fourth overall in 2020, Pitts is expected to be a vital part of the Falcons' offense, joining wide receiver Drake London and running back Bijan Robinson, while catching passes from quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
