Stefon Diggs is set to be released by the New England Patriots after a productive 2025 season. NFL Media reports the 32-year-old wide receiver confirmed the news on social media. Diggs was due a $6 million guaranteed roster bonus if he remained with the team by March 13. His release opens up $16.8 million in cap space for the Patriots in 2026, according to Over The Cap.
In his lone season with New England, Diggs led the team with 85 receptions, 1,013 yards, and four touchdowns. However, his playoff performance dipped, totaling 14 receptions for 110 yards and one touchdown in four games as the Patriots reached Super Bowl LX. Off the field, Diggs faced legal issues, being arrested in December and pleading not guilty to felony charges. Diggs has been a four-time Pro Bowler and recorded over 1,000 receiving yards in seven of the last eight seasons.
