NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore is found dead at 25 in New Albany, Indiana. Authorities confirm no threat to the public. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
Moore, a second-round draft pick from Purdue University, played three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Minnesota Vikings. He faced setbacks after dislocating his right knee during training camp with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, preventing him from playing that season. He attempted a comeback in 2025 but suffered another injury while returning a punt in the first exhibition game.
University of Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm, who coached Moore at Purdue, describes him as an "ultimate competitor." Brohm adds, "We all loved Rondale; we loved his smile and his competitive edge that always wanted to please everyone he came in contact with.
