Michael White is the new business operations president of the Florida Panthers. The announcement comes after a meeting with Bill Zito, the team’s hockey operations president, who reached out from Italy. White, with 25 years of experience in technology and guest services, will oversee business operations for the Panthers’ facilities, including Amerant Bank Arena and Panthers IceDen.
White’s decision to join the Panthers is heavily influenced by Zito, the mastermind behind the team’s back-to-back Stanley Cup victories in 2024 and 2025. Their initial meeting exceeded expectations, lasting an hour and a half. White recently led product development at Amazon’s Zoox and has significant leadership experience from The Walt Disney Company.
The Panthers aim for continued success under White’s guidance. He has until fall 2028 to propose development plans for the land surrounding Amerant Bank Arena. Michael Viola, part of the ownership group, expresses confidence in White’s capabilities, citing his track record in consumer experience and innovative leadership. White’s excitement about joining the Panthers emphasizes their strong organizational culture and winning legacy.
