Ottawa Senators defenseman Thomas Chabot is sidelined for up to two months due to a broken arm. Coach Travis Green confirmed the injury occurred from a cross-check by New York Rangers captain J.T. Miller, with no penalty assessed. Chabot underwent surgery and is expected to miss at least a month, potentially extending to eight weeks. The 29-year-old has tallied seven goals and 24 assists in 55 games this season, averaging 22:34 in ice time, second only to Jake Sanderson. Sanderson is also out, dealing with an upper-body injury but traveling with the team as he approaches a return. Defenseman Lassi Thomson is day-to-day after also getting hurt in the Rangers game. Missing additional blueliners Nick Jensen and Dennis Gilbert, the Senators are navigating injury challenges while fighting for a playoff spot. They enter their home game against Pittsburgh holding the final wild-card position with 85 points, just ahead of the Islanders and Red Wings.
