The San Jose Sharks secure forward Ty Dellandrea with a two-year, $3.25 million contract extension. The 25-year-old, previously in the final year of his deal, now stays with the Sharks through the 2027-28 season. Dellandrea has netted two goals and nine assists in 42 games this season but is currently sidelined due to a lower-body injury sustained on January 6. Before his injury, he led Sharks forwards with a 52.3% faceoff win rate and ranked second in hits (117) and blocked shots (36). Dellandrea, who joined San Jose after four seasons in Dallas, has amassed 17 goals and 44 assists in 261 career games. Additionally, the Sharks call up goalie Laurent Brossoit from the AHL as Yaroslav Askarov deals with a minor lower-body injury. Brossoit, acquired from Chicago in January, has not played in the NHL since the 2023-24 season.
