Paul Arkwright steps into the role of General Manager at the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC), effective June 8, 2026.

This appointment marks a significant shift in leadership, as Arkwright brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at Hebe Haven Yacht Club in Hong Kong, where he managed key operations and strategic development.

With a strong background in yacht club management, hospitality, and event organization, Arkwright is poised to enhance RORC's operations and member services. His experience spans various sectors, including marine and publishing, giving him a unique perspective on organizational growth and community engagement. RORC Commodore Deb Fish expresses confidence in Arkwright’s member-focused approach, stating that his leadership will support the club’s ongoing development for both its members and the broader sailing community.

Arkwright will collaborate closely with RORC's Flag Officers, Committee members, and volunteers at both the London and Cowes locations. Following the recent appointment of Ben Willows as the first Sporting Director, this new role complements the club's strengthened leadership structure, focusing on both competitive sailing and enhanced member experiences.

With Arkwright at the helm, RORC aims to continue its legacy of excellence in the sailing world.
