Mason Greenwood's potential transfer could bring Manchester United a staggering £52 million windfall. This deal, reportedly worth €120 million (£104 million), hinges on Greenwood's move from Marseille to Fenerbahçe, where he has already agreed to a four-year contract.

Greenwood, previously suspended by Manchester United in January 2022 over serious allegations, left Old Trafford in July 2024 for €31.6 million, with the club retaining a 50% sell-on clause. Since joining Marseille, he has excelled, netting 21 goals and five assists in the 2024 season and maintaining impressive form in the current campaign with 21 goals and eight assists across all competitions.

Fenerbahçe is aggressively pursuing Greenwood, but negotiations with Marseille for a transfer fee of €55 million plus €5 million in add-ons are ongoing. Meanwhile, AS Roma has also shown interest, with manager Gian Piero Gasperini keen on securing the young talent.

As Fabrizio Romano highlights, Manchester United stands to gain significantly from this transfer due to their substantial sell-on clause, making this a critical situation to monitor as it could provide crucial financial support for the club moving forward.
