Liverpool targets Bayern Munich's Konrad Laimer in a bid to bolster their midfield with a €40 million offer this summer. The move comes as Liverpool seeks revenge after losing Luis Diaz to Bayern for £65.5 million last season. Diaz has thrived at Bayern, netting 19 goals and 15 assists in 34 appearances this season.
According to Fussball Daten, Atletico Madrid also eyes Laimer, but Liverpool remains a strong contender. Laimer, valued by Bayern for his versatility and pressing ability, is happy at the club and not pressuring for a transfer. Bayern manager Vincent Kompany values Laimer highly and won’t entertain offers unless the player expresses a desire to leave.
Liverpool is also linked to Michael Olise as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who has struggled this season with only four goals and six assists in the Premier League.
