Fabrizio Romano confirms that INEOS, Manchester United's co-owners, have not approached Casemiro about altering his decision to leave Old Trafford. The Brazilian midfielder announced in January 2026 that he will depart at season's end. Casemiro joined United from Real Madrid in summer 2022 for £60 million plus £10 million in add-ons. Despite a strong start, his performance dipped, but he’s rebounding in the 2025/26 campaign, becoming a key player under interim manager Michael Carrick. During Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Aston Villa, fans chanted for him to stay. Romano states that the club has yet to request Casemiro reconsider. Carrick praised Casemiro post-match but hinted the midfielder is unlikely to change his mind. The situation remains unchanged as the season progresses.
