Manchester United is set to offload up to nine players this summer to fund a major transfer overhaul. This move comes as they target a £173 million double deal, bolstered by their likely Champions League qualification under interim head coach Michael Carrick.

Carrick's impressive record of nine wins, two draws, and two losses in 13 matches positions United strongly for next season. To enhance their budget, high earners, including Casemiro and Jadon Sancho, are expected to leave on free transfers. Reports indicate that Rasmus Hojlund’s loan to Napoli could become permanent for £38 million if the Italian side secures Champions League football.

Other players on the chopping block include Tyrell Malacia, Zirkzee, and Turkish goalkeeper Bayindir. United is also open to reasonable offers for Ugarte, who has struggled since his £50 million move from PSG. Meanwhile, Barcelona is reconsidering their pursuit of Marcus Rashford, who earns £325,000 a week, as they explore other options.

With Casemiro's departure imminent, United targets for the midfield include Elliot Anderson, though they balk at Nottingham Forest's £120 million asking price. Aurélien Tchouaméni and others are also under consideration as the club prepares for a transformative summer.
